We look back at a successful DDW 2017!

Date 25 November, 2017
Subject Exhibition Dutch Design Week 2017, Eindhoven, Netherlands
For this collaboration Studio Joris de Groot was inspired by the production processes of air filters, a product made of Colback.

The last months we were very busy with the preparations for Dutch Design Week 2017. Saturday 21th of October was the day we opened the doors of the Low & Bonar In4nite exhibition at the TQ building at Strijp, Eindhoven with some music, drinks and good design.

In4nite is a project where Studio Joris de Groot, together with 9 other designers (Rick Tegelaar, Klaas Kuiken, Erik Stehmann, Tijn van Orsouw, Robbin Baas, Dana Dijkgraaf, Mieke van den Hout, KRAFT Architecten and Charley Reijnders) collaborates with Low & Bonar, market leader in high performance materials. The designers use their expertise for creating a variety of fascinating designs and products based on the technical textile, Colback, supported by the expertise of Low & Bonar.

For this collaboration Studio Joris de Groot was inspired by the production processes of air filters, a product made of Colback. Inspired by the construction of filters made of different layers and materials, we started our research for designing a new product.

In search for the right strength, visual effect and tactility we combined different materials with Colback and played with various pleating patterns. This has resulted in a collection seatings, called Pleated Seat.

We look back at a successful week. Thank you all for stopping by
